Race 4 Veronika's Place!

About a year ago, Kyle Paris returned from Dandora wanting to make a difference in the lives of the people there.  He brought some of us together and founded Race 4 Veronika's Place.  25 runners ran the LA Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, or 5k Fun Run, getting sponsors to support Veronika's Place.  The result was a huge success!  We raised enough money to support this outreach ministry for a full year.

Today we presented the people of Veronika's Place with an LA Marathon race shirt, bib, and medal.  We asked them to look upon them as a reminder to pray for us so that we may stay healthy and able to run more marathons to support this wonderful cause.

The money the runners raised will provide 400 families with HIV/AIDS with rice, cornmeal, and cooking oil once a month for a year.
