We had an extraordinary day today sharing our love and
prayer with the Sisters of Charity, the young women they serve, our brothers in
Holy Cross, and an extraordinary walk in the largest slum of Africa—Kibera. We came home to the news of the death of a
beautiful young woman of our community, Christy Hughes, and we offer our love,
prayer, and support to her family today.
We join the community of Holy Cross tomorrow morning for Sunday celebration. These are days of extraordinary grace, God’s
abundant blessing, and a special bond with our brothers and sisters of this
land. They are indeed God’s most
precious people.
